Layout inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 4 Sketch. In February my youngest son and I flew out to New York City to meet Mike for a few days. It was Chevy's first time flying and everyone's first trip to New York. We went to several of New York's top sites to visit. The most emotional stop was at the 9/11 Tribute Center and Ground Zero, very heart wrenching even for Chevy.

Be sure to bring your paper trimmer, scissors, vintage photo ink, pop dots, glue dots, and distresser if you have one.

SNL - American Made @ By Design Scrapbook Boutique
June's theme for the monthly class I’m teaching at By Design Scrapbook Boutique was an easy one. Every year I take way too many photographs celebrating this wonderful country we live in. There is just something about fireworks and the colors red, white, and blue that I can’t seem to get enough of. Be sure to call or stop by the store to sign up, limited spots available.
Be sure to bring your paper trimmer, scissors, ColorBox scarlet and midnight ink, gold and xmas red stickles, pop dots, glue dots, and distresser if you have one.

Back to ME time..
Wow, it's been almost a year since the last time I posted.. When I started this blog I expected to post once a week, maybe more if time allowed. Apparently time hasn't allowed for once a month much less once a week. :-( In the last year my <3 started traveling for work out of state, right now we only see him every other weekend. It’s been hard trying to adjust to not having him home all the time. I sure miss him when he’s gone. A couple months back I started designing and teaching classes at By Design Scrapbook Boutique, it’s been a lot of fun meeting new people and sharing what I <3 with others. The most recent change around here has been taking my <3 of photography to the next level, Crystal Lynn Photography. My goal is to start posting more and sharing more of the things I <3 in life…

You're gone...
You’re gone.
It is so difficult to believe…
The memories – still alive and well,
Make my heart, with sadness, heave.
My grief belittles these words I speak,
Makes them sound so very hollow;
The emptiness that resides within me –
The greatest proof of my true sorrow.
The memories of those times we spent
Together – in joyous harmony
The arguments, the gloom – we shared it all
Hand in hand, we fought troubles many.
I realize that you’ll never speak again
To me – in that voice so full of concern,
Nor will you provide me with security
From dangers I was unable to discern.
I know not how to shed tears of grief
Yet know not, either, how to refrain;
For while I know that you’re here no more,
In my heart, you’ll always, forever, remain.

Kaisercraft Design Team Tryouts
Ok so I have been a busy busy girl! I am trying out for the Kaisercraft Design Team and had to make 8 misc paper craft items. Didn't realize how much Kaisercraft paper I owned until starting these projects. I've had a lot of fun working on each of them over the last 2 weeks. I've even made my layouts for the Sketches2Scrapbook app, that will be available soon. <3
1st Project- Spring Banner
Looks really good in the daycare play room.
2nd Project - My Robot (Double Layout)
So excited to finally have these pictures on a layout!!!
3rd Project - It's a Boy's Life (Single Layout)
I <3 this little boy, so very much.
4th Project - BABY
Ok, so everyone knows all we have in the family are boys I don't really know what I'm going to do with this project. Looks like I will just have to give it away. :-)
5th Project - Life I Live
I don't really do projects that are centered around me, however I <3 this picture.
6th Project - Disney Mini
I <3 the pop of black in this project. This project brought back lots of fun memories from our trip to Disney.
7th Project - Girly Cards
So I normally don't do cards. I don't know why because when I do I have so much fun with them.
8th Project - My Hero, My Son
Hard to believe my oldest son is 13, he is growing up way too fast on me. He makes me so proud though, I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Pixxie Dust Paperie
Check out Pixie Dust Paperie's blog for an awesome oppurtunity to win their November Kit/Snow Shoe.
One year ago...
To celebrate the day that Mike and I put our life back on track, I made him a mini album. I don't think I've ever used this many flowers on one project. I really like how it turned out though. <3 ya MIKE!
