You're gone...

You’re gone.
It is so difficult to believe…
The memories – still alive and well,
Make my heart, with sadness, heave.

My grief belittles these words I speak,
Makes them sound so very hollow;
The emptiness that resides within me –
The greatest proof of my true sorrow.

The memories of those times we spent
Together – in joyous harmony
The arguments, the gloom – we shared it all
Hand in hand, we fought troubles many.

I realize that you’ll never speak again
To me – in that voice so full of concern,
Nor will you provide me with security
From dangers I was unable to discern.

I know not how to shed tears of grief
Yet know not, either, how to refrain;
For while I know that you’re here no more,
In my heart, you’ll always, forever, remain.

Houston Aeros Hockey Game/Blog Challenge

The Reminisce challenge is to "Get inspired and create!"
If something inspires you then create something from it! This layout was inspired by Sketch Support.
Below is my take on it with our Houston Areos Hockey pictures from Chevy's Scout trip.

Kaisercraft Design Team Tryouts

Ok so I have been a busy busy girl! I am trying out for the Kaisercraft Design Team and had to make 8 misc paper craft items. Didn't realize how much Kaisercraft paper I owned until starting these projects. I've had a lot of fun working on each of them over the last 2 weeks. I've even made my layouts for the Sketches2Scrapbook app, that will be available soon. <3

1st Project- Spring Banner
Looks really good in the daycare play room.

2nd Project - My Robot (Double Layout)
So excited to finally have these pictures on a layout!!!

3rd Project - It's a Boy's Life (Single Layout)
I <3 this little boy, so very much.

4th Project - BABY
Ok, so everyone knows all we have in the family are boys I don't really know what I'm going to do with this project. Looks like I will just have to give it away. :-)

5th Project - Life I Live
I don't really do projects that are centered around me, however I <3 this picture.

6th Project - Disney Mini
I <3 the pop of black in this project. This project brought back lots of fun memories from our trip to Disney.

7th Project - Girly Cards
So I normally don't do cards. I don't know why because when I do I have so much fun with them.

8th Project - My Hero, My Son
Hard to believe my oldest son is 13, he is growing up way too fast on me. He makes me so proud though, I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

I'm so very excited to announce that I'm now apart of the Sketches2Scrapbook Design Team. If you haven't checked out their app for ipod, iphone, and ipad you really should. For those of us that crop away from home it's a perfect app to have, lots of sketches with great samples. I will be designing samples for future apps that are released, so you really must check them out. <3

Pixxie Dust Paperie

Check out Pixie Dust Paperie's blog for an awesome oppurtunity to win their November Kit/Snow Shoe.

One year ago...

To celebrate the day that Mike and I put our life back on track, I made him a mini album. I don't think I've ever used this many flowers on one project. I really like how it turned out though. <3 ya MIKE!

Busy Busy Bee...

Last week the kids were out for Spring Break, so we spent our days on the go. We went to the movies, to the Houston Natural Museum of Science, to the Printing Museum, kept Trey for two nights, and went to the Houston Rodeo to see Kid Rock and Jason Aldean. Mike and I went bowling one evening and had our annual date night to see Alan Jackson at the Rodeo another night. Didn't get any scrapping done. :( However now that this week is almost over and things are a bit back to normal, I'm praying that will change. Happy Scrapping!!!

Once upon a time...

I designed this layout last year for Amore Memories but until this morning hadn't put together a copy for me. I'm trying to decide what pictures to put on it. Jenette was 4 when Mike and I met so we don't have many cute girlie pictures of her. I guess being raised around all boys wore off on her, she's more of a tomboy than a girlie girl. I'm sure I'll find something or maybe I should give it away. <3 CLE

While cleaning my scraproom earlier this week, I came across this Karen Foster birthday line I had bought awhile back. I remembered buying it thinking of our friends double birthday party we attended for their kids in 2009. I really like how the pages came out.

Time Flies

It's so hard to believe that Chevy is 6 1/2 years old and I'm just now scrappin his baby pictures. Last week I got several pages accomplished with 2 double layouts being these baby photos of Chevy. I sure miss those days when he was small but I sure love spending time with him as the young lil man he is now. I've been blessed with 3 great kids that I truely love!

The Story behind the Uniform

After graduating Hign School my youngest brother David enlisted in the Marine Corps. His first summer out of High School he spent at boot camp. That year after Christmas Mike and I found out we were expecting again (total shock). After David finished up boot camp he soon found out he was going to Iraq. He went shopping for an outfit (military related) his nephew could come home in because he wasn't going to be around when he was born. It only took a lil over 3 years for Chevy to fit into it. Chevy was always proud to wear the uniform his Uncle David bought him.

Halloween 2008

I don't figure I will ever be current. I've been scraping for a lil over 6 years now and I have so many pictures still waiting to make it in an album. I do not scrap in any order, I'm normally all over the place. I scrap what sparks my interest at the time. Last week I scrapped these Halloween Layouts from the pictures I took at the church festival in '08.

And of course Chevy being the baby had the most pictures to scrap. I wasn't sure we were going to do Halloween that year, we were just moving into a new place and had barely started unpacking. Sure glad we did, the kids had so much fun.

Love of my life.......

With Valentine's Day coming up, I decided to put some of what I've been learning about digital scrapbooking to use. This year Mike is getting a hybrid mini album with 10 different pictures of us from our trip to Vegas this past July. Today he hinted around that I was going to be giving him a crash course on scrapbooking. He said that he needs to be a professional scrapbooker before Valentine's Day. The idea of him scrapbooking something for me, melts my heart. I sure do love him! <3 CLE

Everyone in life...

Everyone in life needs a purpose....... Now that I'm no longer part of the working society, I'm not quite sure what my purpose in life is. Don't get me wrong taking care of Mike, the boys, and our home is a full time job but I don't get the same satisfaction as I once did working. I've also found myself with more free time than I know what to do with some days. So I've decided that maybe keeping a blog of my Passion for Scrappin' and ordinary things in life, might give me a little less free time as well as a purpose. <3 CLE
